Laibach present "Die Kanone" a new interpretation of the first single released by Bijelo Dugme in 1974, created in collaboration between two legendary bands whose histories are deeply connected to the cultural landscape of the former Yugoslavia.

Following its initial digital release, die Kanone now gets a physical release featuring remixes by DIE KRUPPS, THE LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER & BLACK DOT, plus a live version with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. The CD also includes the iTurk Symphonic Mix and a karaoke instrumental version.

Die Kanone is more than a reinterpretation of a historic song – it is a contemporary reflection on the shifting relationship between industry, technology and militarisation. The title evokes the transformation of industrial production, where the factories of yesterday become the military-industrial landscapes of tomorrow. Through the collision of Bijelo Dugme's original rock mythology and Laibach's industrial ritualism, the track explores how economic power, technological progress and military ambition become increasingly intertwined.
